Electrical / Mechanical Semi Skilled Engineer - Immingham Listed 13/12/18

Due to sustained growth we have an exciting opportunity within our company for an engineer.This role involves carrying out service and maintenance repairs on our rental fleet of diesel powered generators, pumps and lighting towers fulfilling our excellent service standards and high expectations.The nature of this role requires travel to and from site for both service and maintenance calls; therefore a UK driving licence is essential.

This position is full time and flexibility in respect of working hours is expected as is an availability to work the companies on call out of hour’s rota.

Skills Required:

  • A knowledge of motors, control panels and AMF panels with the ability to diagnose faults.
  • Good time management, ability to organise and prioritise work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.

Groundwater Engineer - Shropham Listed 11/09/18

Stuart Wells are a leading and experienced specialist groundwater control company working within the UK construction dewatering industry.

The successful candidate will become part of a successful contracts team to design and deliver construction dewatering and associated groundwater services, such as pumping tests, water supply wells and borehole decommissioning to a range of clients.

You will be involved in the design of groundwater control systems with interpretation of soil investigation and civil/temporary works specifications. Development of proposals and quotations with client liaison, leading to contract award and subsequent management and support of projects.

The role will be varied and involves UK civil/construction site contract management as well as office based duties. It is a rewarding role and offers the opportunity to develop technical and commercial skills.

Main Duties (not limited to):

  • Efficiently and effectively deal with contract enquiries and provide Groundwater Control/Geotechnical advice
  • Undertaking groundwater control system design, data processing and interpretation
  • Generating contract leads, establishing new business opportunities and client development
  • Preparing proposals and quotations
  • Contract/Project Management

Person Specification:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrogeology/ Geotechnical / Civil/ Construction or related background
  • Experience in providing groundwater services and/or experience in dewatering industry
  • Commercial/Subcontracting awareness
  • Ability to communicate effectively and accurately verbally and in written format
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimum supervision
  • Be professional in your approach with the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Good generic IT skills and/or groundwater modelling/interpretation software would also be desirable.
  • Full, clean driving licence essential
