Semi-Skilled Electrical Engineer - Shropham


We are recruiting for a Semi-Skilled Electrical Engineer to join our busy workshop team.

The position is primarily based at our Head Office in Shropham however, some travel may be required when necessary for service, maintenance and emergency breakdown calls throughout the UK. As we provide to the Service Industry, some early starts and late finishes may occur from time to time and you may also be required to be on our on-call rota.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Repair and maintenance of generators, control panels and associated switchgear, distribution boards, cables and electrical pumps.
  • Checking cables and equipment on return from hire and preparing for hire.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Would be someone with electrical experience / knowledge but training will be provided. Would suit College leaver.

Hours of work:

  • 40 hours per week, working between 08.00 – 17.30 Monday to Friday.

Parts Sales Advisor - Shropham


Stuart Group Ltd are the UK's largest distributor for the generator manufacturer FG Wilson (Caterpillar NI).

We are a main dealer for new generators and spare parts, offering products from an oil filter through to a power station as well as offering used equipment for national and worldwide sales.

We keep continuing to grow and expand. To keep up with the demand we are looking to recruit a customer focused, well organised Sales Advisor to join our busy Parts and Purchasing department based in Shropham, Norfolk.

Duties will typically include:

  • Identifying and advising customers on parts they require.
  • Taking orders from customers both by email and over the phone.
  • Sales administration for parts sold.
  • Maintain customer retention.
  • Liaison with other members of staff i.e., parts required by our Technicians.
  • Flexible work approach as required.

Skills Required:

  • Sales experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of stores and stock control systems.

Trainee Project Engineer - Shropham


Due to business growth, we are actively seeking to expand our Generator installation team with the addition of a Trainee Project Engineer.

The suitable applicant will be from a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering background and we are interested equally, in hearing from applicants currently in a ‘hands-on-tools’ role looking for the next stage in their career, as well as applicants already working in a similar office-based environment or role.

The suitable applicant will be punctual, have a methodical approach and be capable of working to deadlines.

Knowledge or experience working with diesel driven power generators and the associated systems i.e. Fuel storage, fuel transfer systems, exhaust and ventilation systems and electrical cabling installation will be advantageous.

Task specific training and support will be given in order for the successful candidate to carry out the role as expected.

Reporting to the Project Manager your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Site visits to determine customer requirements.
  • Provide estimates, quotations and tender bids to customer requirements including provision of supporting documentation.
  • Engagement with clients and stakeholders through Project lifecycle.
  • Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Use of CAD software to review and amend technical drawings.
  • Procurement and allocation of materials to Engineering team on and off site.
  • Processing orders, invoicing and applications for payment.

We are currently seeking a Transport Co-Ordinator based at our Head Office in Shropham, Norfolk, to oversee the daily logistical movements for the haulage fleet which operates nationally.

Duties will typically include:

  • Route planning.
  • Checking lorry movements via a tracking system.
  • Liaising with drivers, internal staff, customers and external contractors.
  • Downloading Tachos.
  • Driving licence checks.

Knowledge / skills required:

  • Previous logistics or fleet management background.
  • Plant hire experience.
  • Tacograph knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally as a large majority of our business is conducted by telephone.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in an often pressurised environment.
  • Comfortable working on own initiative.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work.

This role is full time, working 08.00 – 17.30 Monday to Friday (45 hours per week) with Saturday mornings on a rota basis working one week out of four or five.

Essential Skills / Experience:

We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Company for an HGV Class 1 Driver / Yard Person based at our head office in Shropham.

The role will include delivery driving, loading / unloading of lorries as well as general yard duties whilst at all times fulfilling our excellent service standards.

This position offers full time employment working Monday to Friday (40 hours basic) with optional overtime. A flexible approach to hours would be required due to the occasional night out and weekend work required from time to time.
